YES! I LOVE to work on laptops.
That’s right, no more overpaying those “computer fix-it guys” to learn while they earn, now you can save big money with us with your laptop and your desktop.. I do everything from LCD replacement, AC jack repair, replacing keyboards, replace/restore hard drives, hinges, replace trim pieces or even just virus or malware removal. If it cane be done on a laptop, I can do it. I am Dell, Toshiba and HP certified to work on laptops. Very few people in the state of Alabama have my same training and certifications. Why go somewhere else and pay more?
How much can I save?
Recently I replaced the bezel and lid on a Dell 1521 Laptop. The customer had called around and even taken to a local shop. The local shop wanted $150 for LABOR and $100 for parts- that’s a total of $250 to replace a couple of non electronic parts. The customer sourced the parts on ebay for around $40 and I charged her $20 for labor for a total savings of $190!
Here’s some of our more common repairs for laptops:
LCD Screen replacement: $125-150+ including parts. I prefer the customer to either pay for the LCD when I order it, or order it themselves (I’ll happily tell then where and how). May take a few days depending on availability of LCD panels. Price dependent on size, type. model of laptop. Call for details.
Laptop AC Power jack repair: $125 including parts. This is simply a hardware repair. This repair does not cover any software, just simply ensures that AC power jack is operational and laptop will run off AC power.This requires total dis-assembly of the laptop and re-soldering or replacing the DC jack. Estimated time up to 3-5 days, depending on availability of parts. Most shops charge upwards of $250 and have to ship your laptop off somewhere, taking up to 2 weeks.
Virus, Adware, Spyware removal for Windows XP/Vista: $99 $75 The package includes diagnosis, removal, recovery and installation of antivirus, malware tools and tools for prevention in the future.Most shops will charge $150 to remove the virus and will do nothing to prevent it from coming back. I install virus/malware tools and teach the customer how to use them. I don’t like repeat business on this service. I feel an educated computer user is a safer computer user.
Refurbish Special: $99 $75 Full reinstall of Windows includes all drivers and installation of antivirus, malware tools, and will tweak for extra speed. This procedure may involve a full format and wiping of the drive. If needed, will remove/recover all documents, music, files and reinstall on fresh system for ONE user profile. Additional user profiles $20 per depending.. Applies to XP, Vista, Windows 7. Most shops charge most for Windows Reinstalls on laptops as there’s more drivers, hardware.

Spyware has become the fastest growing concern among computer users today. You’ll also hear people refer to Spyware as Adware or Malware. These are all basically the same things, not quite as nasty as a computer virus, but not something you want on your computer either.
